Hi, I'm Jack and this is my lovely wife Dana.
I am very interested in nature and wildlife.
I was a wildlife and nature photographer for a number of years. I am also
interested in music. I played the violin in country western bands and sang in southern gospal quartets for a number of
years. After graduating from college I served as an officer in the United
States Marine Corps during World War II.
Dana received her Masters degree in Education. She taught elementary school and did guidance counseling for more than 20 years in Ohio, Indiana, and Florida.
Welcome to Our Home
We live in the southern part of the state in beautiful Oceanside. Population 128,400, elev. 47 feet. At the mouth of San Louis Valley, Oceanside's 3.5 miles of beaches offer year-round opportunities for ocean recreation. There are several national surfing championships, including the World Body-Surfing Championships in mid-August. The harbor has facilities for boating and sport fishing, whale-watching takes place during winter.
